Sam Burton writes some of the most sweetly haunting tunes. Many of which sound like they were written in a classic late 70s era, with a current sheen but have not seen the light of day until now, and he seems to be wholly underrated, which I hope will change. This 7" on Tompkins Square has a few of his slightly older songs newly recorded and produced in a polished but perfect manner which are so pure, and so dang good. Also Kacey Johansing sings along with Sam and it is magic. Get this! Joe Borreson
